Original Turkey Design

I work with elementary school-aged children. They love to look at my nails. Yesterday, one asked me if I could do "turkey nails". This is what I came up with. After a few google searches I have concluded that it's an original idea, feel free to take it as inspiration and make it cooler! I'd love to see it if you decide to do your own! 

Halloween

I couldn't decide which Halloween manicure to do, so I did them all! Picture on the right is with tip wear of over a week. Thank you Seche Vite! 

Pink October

My take on a Pink October Ribbon. Gradient with pink and white, pink glitter on top and ribbon was made using a pink striper.

First Day of School:Teacher Style

I'd like to put a better quality picture up..but with the chaos of school comes with the lack of time to think about taking one. I saw the pencil/eraser nails on an image search. The idea for the lined paper came from a cutepolish tutorial, as well as the apple. I just combined them. 

Shark Week

These are done using a design I saw by CottonKandii on Reddit.

Love Snails

My best friend asked me if she could do my nails. I'm constantly doing everyone else's so I think this may be my first manicure done by a friend! She put the snails on my index fingers so they could "kiss"...silly girl !

Ol' Crazy Eyes

I used my konad stamp to create a lilly-pad filled pond and the popular frog design on my ring finger. 

Blue Butterflies

The gradient is very subtle. It shows up better in person (isn't that the case for all of the most beautiful polishes?) I used Wet and Wild Fast Dry polishes : Teal or no Teal and Gray's Anatomy. Gray's Anatomy shines blue/purple depending on the angle and the lighting. 




These butterfly nails were done with Sally Hansen Xtremewear Fashionista Orange and Mellow Yellow. Essie Shine of the Times over that. We weren't able to get a good shot before they chipped off.

Blue to Pink HD Gradient

Super glittery gradient created using three Sally Hansen HD polishes and a makeup sponge. Exact names will be updated. 

Texas Rose

My mom is leaving for Texas tomorrow, and requested a "bright" color with roses. It's an Ice brand lime green and two konad stamping plates. Numbers will be updated. 

Who's Hoo?

These have a bit of a back story. A friend's mom is in the hospital and her mom loves to collect owls. We did these for her mom to cheer her up.

Fishtail

Freehand french tips and my first attempt at fishtail. I learned not to over-think it. If you stare too long and try to predict the swipes, you'll confuse yourself. Good luck! 

Laquerista Mama

My mom has always had beautiful nails. I used to ask her why she never painted them. Back in the 80's in beauty school, she had to have neatly painted nails every day. She hated painting them after that. Well as of 2012, not only is she back...she's a full fledged lacquerista. 

Rubber Ducky, you're the one...

Partially inspired by a CutePolish tutorial, with my own "bubble french tip" twist. 

I dipped a dotting tool into a periwinkle, blue and white and dabbed my finger with it. They "marble" themselves on your finger. You can use a bobby pin or the tip of a pencil!

2 Week Manicure

75% of the time, my nail polish only lasts about 5 days. Sometimes it chips, sometimes I get tired of it. But every once in a while I get a color or a base that I want to make last. Here are some examples of how I have made manicures last two weeks in the past.

It might be a little much for a job interview, it seemed more subtle in my head. 

I added Matte Magic, which seemed to help.
